Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4 1954. She is a Canadian-American comedian, actress, and writer. O'Hara has been awarded numerous distinctions including a Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also was awarded two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honoured with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara was first noticed as an actress while she was a part of The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. Along with John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the primary cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). In the following year, O'Hara and Candy began work in the sketch comedy program Second City Television (1976-1984) and she earned critical acclaim for both her work as a comedic actress and as a writer, winning an Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was included in the brand-new Second City artistic Advisory Board that was headed by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board included Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key.
