Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn, born August 19, 1965 is an American actress. Her most well-known work is her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. In the final season of the show Sedgwick won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended on August 13th in 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick got a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) The Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English origins. Sedgwick has declared that she is Jewish and participates in Passover dinners.
